How to Transfer Your Design to a Hat Press N Seal Method

  1. Prepare the Template: Place a sheet of Glad Press'n Seal flat over your printed design. Ensure the sticky/tacky side is facing down onto your design..
  2. Trace the Outline: Use a pen or fine-tip marker to trace the design onto the plastic film.
  3. Apply to the Hat: Carefully peel the Press'n Seal off the paper and smooth it firmly onto the area of the hat where you want your design.
  4. Burn Through the Plastic: Turn on your wood-burning tool or hand burner. Carefully trace directly over the lines of your drawing on the plastic. The heat will melt through the Press'n Seal and leave a faint, indented outline on the hat.
  5. Remove and Detail: Peel the plastic off the hat. Packing tape works great for this. Go over the faint outline again with your burner to darken the lines and add your own freehand shading or details.
